Canvas Giclée Prints
Giclée the French printmakers term for fine spray, was adopted to distinguish this state-of-the art reproduction method from normal offset printing. The Giclée image is created by a digital printers tiny ink jets that spray millions of droplets of water-based ink directly onto fine archival canvas, known as the substrate. Gicleés are produced one at a time, and, depending on the size and intricacy of the image, can take two hours or more for each print. The combination of special inks and substrates are carefully selected which assures maximum print longevity and exquisite visual quality.
